For A Dear Friend, Rosnah

Rosnah was one of my classmates during secondary school in Sekolah Menangah (Kebangsaan) Sultan Yahya Petra, Kuala Krai, Kelantan. She was one of the prefects and I was the Head Prefect then. We have been close friends doing many things together. We were even in the same school debate team then.

She has always been cheerful and always eager to learn. She was a friendly person and having lots of friends. Our classmates were always invited to her Hari Raya open house. I also remember cycling to school together with her. Yes, most of us cycled to school back then.

We parted after form 5 and only managed to meet up some 28 years later. A small group of our classmates met up for dinner in 2007 and later met again during the Kuala Krai Gala Dinner the same year. She was like always in her jovial mood and sporting. We even danced together!

I did call her once a while and chatted with her on Facebook. She has always been hardworking and responsible. That explains why she always worked till late hours. I never came to know that she was not feeling well but I knew she has a lot of pressure from work as she always wanted to give her best.

I was supposed to pay her a visit to her new office in Putrajaya but I guess I will never ever going to meet her.

Rosnah Abdul Malik passed away at 8.30pm on 24th September 2009.

We will always miss you, Rosnah. Rest in peace.
