A Matter of Perception

For those 270 over Krians who have just attended the Kuala Krai Gala Dinner 2007, they might go home with different feelings. Different people might value or appreciate the night differently. To me, it is all a matter of perception.

Some might feel that, there should be more over all interaction especially paying more attention to the master of ceremony. To me, as the master of ceremony or emcee for the evening, I feel the function was just alright. I am not offended either even though I need to use my loudest voice most of the time.

I for once will not go against the audience by forcing them to listen to me though it took me three times to get everyone to sit down initially. Everyone was just too excited to meet up with old classmates, schoolmates and old friends. The feelings and excitment are just uncontrolable.

If not because I was assigned to the emcee job, I would have done the same with my group of classmates whom I have not met for 28 years. If there is any complain I may make, then it must be I have too little time spent with my old classmates! Oh, yes, one more thing. I wished I had more time to enjoy the food too!!!

Therefore, to me it is perfectly alright for the crowd to behave the way they have been. To be able to get so many Krians from far and near to be in one room, to me is already a very big success. I am sure the organising committe and a lot more others have put in their very best efforts for the success.

So congratulations again to the organising committee and all those who have made the Kuala Krai Gala Dinner a real memorable one.
